Catalog description

Building on the knowledge and skills gained in the Applied Mental Skills Training course, this course will further advance students’ understanding of how to integrate ethical practice, theory, and research into their applied work. Students will explore interventions for both short-term, problem-focused work, as well as continual needs assessment and support for the evolution of the consulting process for long-term clients. The course will explore formulating case conceptualizations, bespoke consultation and interventions, reflective practice applications, personal consulting style, and deepening cultural, emotional, and contextual intelligence.
