Catalog description

Taken at the Junior first semester, this personal/professional development seminar series promotes explorations of art and design theories and practices in order to discover and strengthen important connections between foundational studies, personal values, interests, talents, skills, and strengths, professional outlook, and the broader visual culture. Class conversations and activities include reviewing and reflecting on current art and design work, conversations with professionals, and field trips to Bay Area art and design venues. Students create a 'Signature Work' tab in their digital portfolio. This will become a space that student populate with assignments in advanced courses as well as reflections and notes from their portfolio reviews.
