Catalog description

This course explores the history of musical theatre from its early origins to the Broadway shows of today. The evolution of musical style and literature is traced through a variety of musical genres. Included are operettas, cabarets, follies and traditional musicals as well as a review of famous composers, lyricists and performers. (Equivalent to TA 007)
