Catalog description
This course is designed to prepare students for the successful completion of professional healthcare programs. Students will be given an overview of program requirements and expectations, and they will acquire information and skills that facilitate student success throughout the program. Students will also develop professional skills essential for success in clinical and academic settings. Although emphasis is on nursing programs, the foundational curriculum is rooted in employability skills, stress management, and study skills necessary for successful completion of a rigorous professional program. Students are encouraged to take this course after completing all prerequisite science courses and immediately before applying to their chosen healthcare program.
