Catalog description

This course will provide a survey of mathematical methods pervasive in engineering. We will explore integral transforms of various kinds, including the Laplace and Fourier transforms, and their applications to solving ordinary and partial differential equations. We will also explore foundational concepts like vector calculus, Sturm-Liouville problems and orthogonal functions, and separation of variables for boundary value problems in partial differential equations. All of these will be presented in the context of real-world problems and applications.
