Catalog description

This course provides students with a first look at using economics to study education systems and policies. Students will learn about the most commonly used empirical techniques, foundational economic models, and important institutional specifics, which aid the interpretation of empirical and theoretical results. Topics include the basic human capital model, returns to education, the education production function, and teacher labor markets. This is a special topics course.
