Catalog description
This course is an introduction to computational problem solving. Students will develop their abilities to abstract otherwise complex problems and generate elegant and efficient solutions. Students will practice these skills by developing computer programs that solve problems related to physical devices that interact with the world, e.g., through sound, light, or motion. Topics may include working with microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators to process and/or transmit information. Students may earn credit for at most one of CS 109 , CS 111 , CS 112 , CS 113 , and CS 114 . Absolutely no prior experience is necessary.
