Catalog description
This course is an examination of the art, craft, and practice of production dramaturgy. Students will learn how to bring research, script analysis, and interpretation into the theatrical process to support a theatre production’s creative team. Students will gain experience in the art of dramaturgy by building skills in: script analysis, in-depth contextual research, audience engagement, season selection, critical writing, discussion facilitation, educational event design, and more. Satisfies a major requirement in Theatre Satisfies a minor requirement in Theatre Satisifes Gender and Sexuality Studies major and minor requirement Satisfies the Visual and Performing Arts requirement
