Audience expectations for production quality have risen steadily since the days of Greek drama, and the demand for technically literate artists and creators has never been higher. This course aims to empower you, the creator, with both technical and analytical skills you need to turn your idea into a live performance, art installation, or design. Explore how the history of stagecraft can be applied to contemporary challenges. Communicate technical information clearly using a variety of mediums. Utilize industry standard, professional resources to create high quality production elements. This course offers a survey of the different production areas commonly used in live entertainment today. No shop or theatre experience required. Satisfies Visual and Performing Arts Ways of Knowing requirement.
