This seminar will explore several of the current accounts attempting to elucidate the relation between mind and brain. The emphasis of the course will be on the approaches that are being proposed by philosophers and scientists who take a deliberate neuroscientific approach to the problem. Although previous course work in neuroscience would be helpful, this seminar does not assume a strong background in neuroscience. Fulfills the seminar requirement in Psychology. Satisfies Neuroscience minor requirement. Prerequisites & Notes Permission required.
