Catalog description

This research methods courses focuses on the visual analysis of quantitative information, particularly regarding the interpretation and evaluation of scatterplots, histograms, line graphs, boxplots, heatmaps, et cetera . Considerable emphasis is placed on the creation of new data visualizations via the use of the ggplot2 and Shiny packages in R . Coding and data exploration will be central components of this course, and prior experience with R and elementary statistics is necessary; however, proficiency in these areas is neither required nor expected . Satisfies Psychology major requirement. Prerequisites & Notes PSY 200
