Catalog description

What is culture and how does it relate to psychology? What, if anything, can psychological science contribute to the study of culture? This course is an introduction to the various issues surrounding an increasingly globalized world by critically examining the dynamic relationship between psychological processes (e.g., motivation, memory, self, prejudice) and diverse socio-cultural contexts. Satisfies Psychology major requirement. Satisfies Social-Scientific Thought requirement. Satisfies Cultural Diversity requirement. Prerequisites & Notes PSY101 is a prerequisite.
