Catalog description

This course examines how to conduct survey/public opinion research and explores how public opinion informs American Politics. Topics will include how to conceptualize and measure public opinion, the origins of public opinions, the nature of mass opinion for specific policy areas, and how public opinion informs the policy making process. Students will also learn the fundaments of survey research. Prerequisites & Notes Permission of the instructor required.
