This course introduces students to a variety of analytical perspectives on the relationship between the public and private sectors in the United States. It has a particular focus on the characteristics of US political institutions and corporate actors that influence this relationship, the role of corporate activities in the political arena, and the effects of public policies on American businesses. Satisfies a major or interdisciplinary minor requirement in Communication Studies. Satisfies the Social-Scientific Thought requirement
