Catalog description

The history of women in what is now the United States, beginning prior to European colonization and ending after the at the turn of the twentieth century. Comparison and contrast of the experiences of female people with attention to race, class, and religion in shaping women’s lives, with emphasis on changing social roles, labor, and suffrage. Satisfies Gender and Sexuality Studies major and minor requirement. Satisfies the Historical Thought requirement. Satisfies the Justice, Equality, and Community requirement.
