An examination of United States history and controversies about it from World War II to the present. Topics include the Cold War, the upheavals of the 1960s, the “New Right,” and the War on Terror. Students entering 2012 and after: satisfies Historical Thought requirement. Students entering before 2012: satisfies History requirement. Satisfies a requirement in the Communication Studies interdisciplinary major and minor.
