Catalog description

This course explores the U.S. experience in World War II, history’s largest and deadliest war. Major themes include the politics and diplomacy that preceded U.S. involvement; U.S. military and diplomatic history during the war itself; the U.S. home front; and the war’s consequences for the United States, at home and abroad. Satisfies History major and minor requirement. Satisfies Historical Thought requirement. Satisfies a requirement in the Communication Studies interdisciplinary major and minor.
