This course provides an introduction to the field of queer studies by way of a specialized topic. Course content and emphasis will vary with instructor, but sample topics include queer theories, queer of color critiques, queer popular culture, transgender studies, and queer activism. Satisfies a major requirement in Gender and Sexuality Studies - content course for society and politics of trade. Satisfies a minor requirement in Gender and Sexuality Studies-elective.
