This is the exciting, nerve-wracking, accomplishment-filled, culminating semester for Honors students! Students accepted into the Honors program in English for 2025-26 will develop original intellectual and creative projects that are the culmination of their degree work at Davidson. ENG 499 is the second half of the required two-course sequence meant to support Honors students as they carry out the necessary research, reading, and writing. In ENG 499, we will: Carry out research and reading necessary for continued development and successful completion of the Honors Thesis Finish the composition of thesis writing begun in the fall Engage in peer review and offer constructive criticism to classmates Discuss strategies for revision and final submission of the thesis Prepare for and participate in a final celebration of completed thesis work! Prerequisites & Notes Permission of the instructor required.
