Analysis of the role the public sector plays in a mixed economy. Topics include public goods, externalities, tax policy, expenditure policy, budget deficits, and the national debt. Includes proposals for tax welfare, and health care reforms. A student may not receive credit for both Economics 225 and Economics 325. Satisfies the Social-Scientific Thought requirement.
