Catalog description
In this course, students will learn to conceptualize, design, and program mobile and console games that are playful, yet serious. Through a combination of technical and game-oriented topics including design, usability, physics, and coding in C#, as well as readings and discussions around the history, culture, and issues in game studies, students will execute interactive works that reflect a high degree of thoughtfulness towards the construction and impact on their intended audience. Satisfies a requirement in the Digital Studies interdisciplinary minor. Prerequisites & Notes Programming experience is highly recomended.
