Medical Biotechnology

Catalog description

This seminar course explores the biological and chemical principles behind the newest biotechnology tools in medicine. Topics such as nanotechnology based drug delivery approaches, 3D organ printing for transplantation, cancer immunotherapy approaches, and molecular diagnostic tools will be selected based on student interest. Students will analyze primary literature, then organize and present findings in oral presentations and term papers. Prerequisites & Notes Successful completion of BIO 201, 202, 208/238, 303, 306/336, 307/337, or 333 is required.
