Plant Adaptations +Lab

Catalog description
In this course and lab, students will examine how plants have evolved adaptations that allow them to thrive under challenging, variable, and unpredictable conditions and how plants are integral to all aspects of human society. Activities and assignments include thorough reading, discussion, and/or presentation of peer-reviewed journal articles, hands-on activities in lab, and a written assignment. Satisfies Biology major requirement. Satisfies Environmental Studies major and minor requirement. Prerequisites & Notes Successful completion of Bio 111/112/115 and 113/114/116, ENV 101 or 201, or permission of the instructor. One laboratory meeting per week. Satisfies Group B Biology major requirement and Natural Science Environmental Studies requirement.
