Catalog description

In order to coordinate function within multicellular eukaryotic organisms, organelles and cells utilize an array of molecular transport and communication mechanisms. Students compare wild type and altered signaling from phenotype to changes in the signaling mechanism. Examples draw from human genetic variation and changes due to exposure to environmental toxicants. No laboratory. Prerequisites & Notes Successful completion of BIO 111/113 is required. Students with credit for BIO 208 may not enroll in BIO 238.
