Catalog description

Approaches to ethnographic and ethnohistorical research and analysis in cultural anthropology. Examination of selected studies that demonstrate a variety of approaches to the study of single cultures and to cross-cultural comparisons. Students design and complete research projects. With advance departmental approval, an off-campus ethnographic field school course may be substituted for credit toward the major. One of the courses satisfying the Methods requirement for the major and minor in Anthropology. Prerequisites & Notes ANT 101 or permission of the instructor. (Spring)
