Catalog description
This course provides a definition and overview of what AAC; (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is. Students will understand which populations may benefit from AAC. There will be hands-on practice and exploration of different types of AAC systems. In addition evidence based approaches behind AAC implementation will be studied. There will be a review of resources available at different levels (community, state, nationally, etc) that are available to support AAC implementation.
