Catalog description
The primary focus of this introductory course is a course on what insurance is, who provides it, and how it is regulated. This course also describes the functions of marketing, underwriting, ratemaking and claims, all of which are essential to providing insurance. The course provides a broad overview and introduction of the risk management process and its purpose, the elements of loss exposures, and the characteristics and provisions of insurance policies.
