Basics of Business Startup

Catalog description

This course covers the key elements to starting and running a successful business. Students will learn about each area through reading texts and handouts, hands-on exercises and discussion. Learning will be evaluated through assignments and the final development of a finished business plan. Students will have access to Word and Excel templates, through which they will create the complete business plan. Two one-hour, in-person sessions will be conducted with the instructor: one during week 2 and one during week 8. The instructor will offer flexibility in scheduling these sessions.
