Covers the fundamental concepts and applied techniques for organizing, planning, and controlling projects. Topics are divided in two categories: behavioral and technical. Behavioral aspects include organizational structure, organizational culture, leadership, teams, and negotiation. Technical aspects include project selection, estimating times/costs, WBS, network computation, PERT/CPM, resource allocation, time reduction, and progress/performance control. Computer software (Excel and MS Project) is introduced to provide hands-on practical training on technical skills. Examples are drawn from a variety of industries including construction and information systems. (F, S) Prerequisite: MNGT 3051 and LSCM 3251, both with a "C" or better.
