Explores contemporary popular culture via critical cultural theories that examine social dimensions such as power, gender, cultural identity, media aesthetics, and visual communication. The class will consider the impacts of the production and reception of modern media texts. (F, even years) Prerequisites: COMM 2000, COMM 3100.
