Catalog description

The student will investigate the influence of differing cultures, traditions, and technologies on the development of the theatre as a social institution through comparative study of plays, historical events, and the theatrical environment. Theatre practice from its origins through the mid 18th century will be studied. Plays are read for analysis of structure, plot, character and historical relevance. Admission to theatre performances not to exceed $50.00. (UC Credit limitation, AA GE, CalGETC , C-ID: THTR 113)
