Catalog description

This course is designed for students who wish to increase their knowledge of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures through individual study or research under the direction of a faculty member. With the guidance of the faculty member, students prepare and carry out a written Independent Study Learning Contract detailing the objectives and outcomes of the project. Students should expect to meet with the supervising faculty member from 30 minutes to two hours each week for conferences. Unit credit may range from 0.5 to 2 units in any given semester. Consult the class schedule to verify credit for a particular term. Pass/No Pass/Letter Grade Option.
