Catalog description

Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is an identification and analysis of selected contemporary social problems in American society and around the world. It includes problems of overpopulation, environmental destruction, war, race, poverty, sex inequality, aging, drug abuse, health, crime and violence. Alternative approaches to the resolution of these problems and identification of institutions and organizations involved in their resolution are emphasized. (UC/CSU, AA GE, CALGETC, C-ID: SOCI 115)
