Catalog description

Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is an introduction to religious diversity in the United States from the colonial encounter to the present. It emphasizes cultural and religious interaction and exchange. This course will examine how the American experience shaped, and was shaped by, the religions of Africa, Europe, and Asia, as well as Indigenous American religions and new American religious movements. (UC/CSU, AA GE, CalGETC)
