Term hours: 18 lecture and 18 laboratory. This course is designed to give brass students intermediate-level training in pop-commercial brass styling techniques, improvisation, basic lead sheet writing, and studio recording techniques. Students are required to spend no less than 30 minutes per week in the practice rooms and/or the commercial music lab/library. (CSU)
