C History of Graphic Design

Catalog description

Term hours: 54 lecture. This course surveys the history of visual communication, design’s sociopolitical and cultural contexts, and the artistic and technological characteristics of various movements. Students gain a broad under - standing of design and its dynamic past to discover inspiration for the present. Students conduct research, propose, and create a project inspired by the designers and movements studied. (UC/CSU AA GE, CalGETC)
