Term hours: 54 Lecture. This course examines sports related films and their contributions made by members representing various gender, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. (CSU/UC, AA GE)Term hours: 54 Lecture. This course examines sports related films and their American sports history between 1940 to present time. The portrayal of sport and the contributions made by members representing various gender, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds as depicted through sports-related films will be examined. This course will cover such films as, but not limited to, Moneyball, 42, A League of Their Own, The Jesse Owens Story, and various other sport related documentaries. Content will examine historical barriers ,accomplishments, and other prevalent issues that can be exemplified through sport development and participation.(CSU/UC, AA GE).
