Catalog description

Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is an in-depth analysis of the African and African-American literary diaspora, which explores autobiography, letters, poems, narratives, prose and other folk traditions from the colonial period through the Reconstruction era in the United States. This course is designed to expose students to the literature and social issues of Africans in America. (UC/CSU, AA GE, CalGETC)
