Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is a study of Asian American literature. Students will explore and analyze a variety of social and political issues, such as gender relationships, family relationships, cultural traditions, cultural conflicts, culinary traditions, and stereotypes from an Asian American perspective. This course is designed to enhance cultural awareness and understanding, while also facilitating personal enrichment through the exploration of a variety of literary sources, including fiction, drama, poetry, journals, biography, and film.(UC/CSU, AA GE, CalGETC, SOC JUST).
