Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is a survey of the American Economic System using basic economic concepts to explain a wide variety of economic applications. It includes production and cost, competition and market structure, market failure and externalities, and the labor market as the microeconomic topics. As macroeconomic topics, it includes national income, unemployment and inflation. It also discusses the economic growth and economic fluctuations issues, Monetary and fiscal policy, and international trade and finance. Economics 110 C does not meet the course requirement for majors in economics and business administration. (No UC credit if taken after ECON C2002 or ECON C2002H or ECON C2001 or ECON C2001H . UC Credit Limitation/CSU, AA GE, CalGETC)
