C Dental Research and Capstone Project

Catalog description

Term hours: 36 lecture. This course is designed to introduce students to research methodologies, evidence-based dental practices, and their application in the development of a capstone project. Students will explore various research methods, critically appraise scientific literature, and apply statistical analysis techniques in dental and dental hygiene topics. Emphasis on research designs and methods, current trends, and evidence-based resources. Scientific communication methods with an emphasis on poster presentation techniques will be addressed to complete the capstone project. The capstone project will serve as a culmination of their studies, allowing students to address a relevant issue in dental hygiene or dental care through research, analysis, and presentation. (CSU)
