C Dental Radiographic Interpretation

Term hours: 18 lecture. This course includes didactic instruction to provide dental hygiene students with the knowledge and skills necessary for advanced interpretation of dental radiographs in clinical practice. Emphasizing both theoretical foundations and practical application, students will analyze intraoral and extraoral radiographic images. Topics include radiographic anatomy, principles of radiographic interpretation, identification of normal and pathological findings, and correlation of radiographic findings with clinical presentations. Practical sessions, case studies, and interactive workshops will enhance students' ability to integrate radiographic interpretations into comprehensive treatment planning and patient care.(CSU)
