Term hours: 54 lecture. This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI). Data Analytics and BI are utilized to turn big data into useful information to enable educators, researchers, industry, and businesses to make better decisions. Students will examine the tools, applications, and processes including analytics, understanding data, data warehousing, big data, cloud computing, and data visualization. $3 materials fee payable at registration (CSU/UC)
