In-depth introduction to the field of women's and gender studies, which transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries. Analysis of gender’s role in shaping human societies of past and present: their history, their expression through arts and literature, their philosophy of feminism, and comparative conditions of women in diverse cultures and social locations. Note: Course meets same graduation requirements as WGS-1510 .
