Catalog description
Using the Python programming language students will be introduced to the basic data analysis skills required of a Data Scientist – understanding of data types and structures, data manipulation, data gathering/cleaning and exploratory data analysis (EDA). The expected outcome will be a solid foundation in: a) manipulating datasets with basic Python and relevant libraries such as Pandas, NumPy and Sqlite; b) producing summary statistics and visual presentation of the results using standard Python packages such as Matplotlib and Seaborn and dashboarding tools such as Streamlit; d) performing basic statistical inference.
