Policy Research for Social Welfare Systems

Catalog description

This course introduces students to applied policy research in the context of social welfare systems, in the service of addressing issues such as health care coverage and access, climate change, caregiver support systems, disability, mental health, and reduction/elimination of poverty. The course will examine macro-level systems such as congressional priorities, state and local-level initiatives, as well as research aimed at systems change with underserved communities.
