Catalog description

This student teaching/supervised teaching course is the culminating clinical experience. Candidates are placed (for student teaching) or work in (if using their jobsite for supervised teaching) a school, early childhood, or early intervention setting serving learners with multiple disabilities (B-21 years). The course encompasses both a seminar that is focused on professional development and field supervision from a university-based teacher educator. Candidates will engage in using evidence-based and high-leverage practices; data-based decision making; writing and adapting lesson plans; developing IEPs/IFSPs; discussing family, staff and school partnerships; and, identifying ways to support peer interactions and groupings.
