The Art of Effective Teaching

Catalog description

This course is designed to orient elementary school teacher candidates to the world of urban education and their roles as quality educators. The course will introduce students to the basic pedagogical practices of teaching, the connection between theory and practice as it relates to the role of teachers, instructional methods for teaching diverse student populations, effective classroom management practices, organizational strategies, motivation techniques and methods of assessment.
