Catalog description

This course will examine how we pay for personal health care and public health services in the United States. Particular attention will be paid to ongoing reform efforts as well as to strategies, both old and new, intended to contain costs and maximize individual and population health. The course will also look at and assess some of the practical tools available to health services managers for planning, budgeting, understanding and controlling costs.
