Scientific Literature Synthesis

Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills necessary to conducting a systematic synthesis of research. This includes three critical components: a) an in-depth review of processes and components of systematic literature synthesis and reviews; 2) mentored work to explore the state of the science of a phenomena/substantive content area; and 3) peer review and critique. General and specific approaches, resources, and methods are reviewed and discussed.
